Dual Monitor - Second Screen (1 Viewer)

Hey guys,

I have a question that is probably the opposite of what most people want. I have just bought a secondary monitor and would like it to go on standby (or black out) when media portal is open on my main monitor. Im currently using MediaPortal 1.0.0.0 on Windows Vista and cant seem to see this option anywhere? or perhaps a plugin?

PS - on a side note, i cant seem to select a different startscreen under general in preferences. (it only has my main monitor listed and its greyed out/unselctable). Not a problem, just thought id make the observation

Did you check the checkbox just above it? (Use ScreenSelector)

I am not aware of such function, but lets see if someone can reply with an idea...

ahh cheers, that fixed the screen select problem

as a some what work around, ive been able to make two files (using ultramon). when opened, one file turns off the second screen and one file turns it on.

is there a way in media portal or windows setting that i can make the monitor off file open when media portal is opened and hte monitor on file open when its closed?
