In my setup, dual mono audio programs produce the same language, no matter which channel I select.
The results are the same with both "live" and recorded TV, and with both dScaler and MPA.

An earlier report of this problem can be found in this post.

    Hi,
That works here just perfect, can you test with ffdshow as audio codecs(not sure MPA will work with this, we tested ffdshow to work & for vista users M$ worked. Cyberlink had some probs & think MPA also had)?

    Regards
    Roy

    Hi,
I use the ffdshow from here (the latest from clsid) & when this it's used for audio you have to open ffdshow audio decoder configuration -> codecs & change MP1, MP2 to mp3lib & save this should handle those "mono" changes.

Not sure about other codecs(inter video, purevideo etc) since not many handles mono audio as they should.

    Regards
    Roy

downloaded and installed this build of ffdshow and then selected it in MP Configuration for Television for all decoding (audio and video).
The results are unchanged (new logs attached).

    Hi,
Hmmm, you're using analog card, i didn't see that before now (was sure you used a dvb-t or something, but thats my bad). Not sure if that should work @ all, have to direct MisterD to this post as he knows it all when it comes to analog.

    Regards

    any news on this?
Tried to use current SVN to play back a dual language recording made with a slightly older one and still no joy.
IIRC, this is a problem with MP anyway, not with TV server, correct?

    P.S.
now retested on a recording made with latest SVN: same results (logs attached)

    P.P.S
I recorded the same series in parallel on a Panasonic DVR to ensure that the dual channe audio was present: it was.

I have kept the recording, which is about 3.5 GB zipped. Leti me know if and where you would like me to upload it.

    P.P.P.S.
Problem still reproducible with the latest RC4 SVN.

I don't see this in Mantis and my edits don't seem to update the time stamp on this thread. Am I the only one with this problem?
What additional information would be needed to reproduce the problem? What else can I try to resolve it?

Does this feature works for anyone please? It has no effects for me when using the ffdshow codec (still hear one languauge from one speaker and the other language from the other speaker) and it distorts (slows down) the picture and the sound when used with other codecs.
    Thank you.
