Do not believe you can run two sound cards on one system.
Windows will not allow it, i believe without screwing up, caused by the conflict between drivers (correct me if wrong anyone, as never heard of this setup).
I suspect because you are able to free a IRQ. I would like to be given a choice, I agree. But something like 99.9% of users buy an audio card because they want something better than the onboard, not because they want a second one.
I am pretty positive that I have seen PC with nore than one sound cards, both working.
First, why:
Because i want TV/video sound from my TV and music from the stereo and that can't be done with the MB or soundcards i have.
Secondly, it can be done and it does'nt screw up Windows, it was just a question of creative thinking
Music is apparently mapped to the standard windows sounddevice, witch was an old SB64, so i just had to remap the TV/Video sound to the MB sound device (SoundMax something) to make it work.
Last weekend, I uninstalled the entire mediaportal, the TV server, the Windows patches, and anything else that might be interfering. I made a backup of the plugin databases so I could restore them after the installation. Now everything works. I'm not exactly sure what was causing the problem, but now all the videos play perfectly again.

EDIT: I now downgraded the server (as I did with the client above)...

Sorry, it's my fault -- I did not notice that you are using MP2. :(
MP1 has a separate configuration utility, similar to "TV Server Config". I have tried MP2 only a couple of times, and have never used it seriously. I don't know what MP2 supports with regard to adjusting audio delay, but I do know that all of the adjustments of...
