Since Media portal has gone digital it thought it is time for me to do the same.
Does anyone have suggestions on a good DVB-C card with card reader and hardware decoding?

Check the Twinhan site, they have a pci version that comes with a card reader. I was looking at dvb-t but I think they had one for dvb-c to.

I don't know if they have any BDA drivers for it though.

Thanks for the tip! It looks like a good, affordable card. But after googling around a bit i found several users that had trouble getting the card to work. No one seemed to get the card reader to work and it had trouble finding channels without really strong signals.
Swedish users can check out these links:

The good thing is that the bda drivers work with the card.

Actually I solved this myself. I did have the correct driver (it was the only one which would work). But on the drivers download page, there was an additional item called "TBS6281se V2 Change Mode Tool". There was zero documentation to accompany this. I downloaded it and ran it. It is a tool to detect the current run state of both...

Perhaps... Only way to confirm would be for me to invest in a different USB DVB-S2 tuner (like the Hauppauge WinTV-NOVA-S2), which I might do if the issue persists.

I did a check of MP 1.36 x64 on Win11 and I can confirm, that the TV server correctly detects running MediaPortal.exe process.
