TV-Server Version: 0.2.3.0 final built-in
MediaPortal Version: 0.2.3.0 final

Video Card: Gainward SilentFX 8600GT
Video Card Driver: 163.75_forceware_winvista_32bit_english_whql
Sound Card: Auzentech X-Meridian 7.1
1. TV Card: FireDTV
1. TV Card Type: Firewire
1. TV Card Driver: Latest non-beta BDA driver.
MPEG2 Video Codec: CyberLink v7.3 3304
Satelite/CableTV Provider: ComHem Sweden
TV - HTPC Connection: DVI-HDMI 1080p

I might be on the verge of a nervous breakdown. I've unistalled MP completely and made sure that no configuration files persist, then I reinstalled it again. Despite this, when scanning for channels in TVE2 I get (under the three bars denoting progress and signal strenght/quality):

new tv: 8 new radio: 0 updated tv: 152 updated radio: 0

Then when I go to TV channels in the configuration tool I see only 8 channels. Why? I can't understand why this is happening. Are the channels cached somewhere in some secret place I don't know of? I just wanted to reinstall MP becuase I tried out SageTV and apparently that screwed something up. SageTV is gone, I've cleaned out MP completely, even reinstalled the FireDTV drivers. FireDTV viewer find all channels and displays them correctly.

Why is MP being a bitch? Do I have to clean out the registry as well?

<pulling hair out>

I'm pretty sure you forgot to delete the Mediaportal folder under c:\ProgramData (It's hidden by default, so turn on show hidden files and system files) This directory stores your configuration files under Vista.

Nope, it's completely gone from there as well.

Doesn't matter now anyway, managed to delete some things in rage that I shouldn't have, so now I have to reinstall the whole system anyway.

F*cking SageTV. I'll show them where they can stick that crap.

EDIT: And if anyone doubts that it was SageTV that screwed up my system, I can add that when I uninstalled it AC3Filter broke. I couldn't select it as a filter anylonger in MP and when I tried running the config it said that AC3Filter wasn't installed (which it clearly was). Had to reinstall it. Probably not directly related to the channel issues, but enough to warrant some politically incorrect comments towards SageTV.
