Ongoing DVB-S card for P2-M2A690G (1 Viewer)

Hello all,

since MP is getting better and better and I am still struggling with problems with
a SkyStar2 card inside my P2-M2A690G I think about getting a new DVB-S card for
that barebone.

Therefore: P2-M2A690G users, which DVB-S card do you use in your systems and do
they work ok ?

My problems with the SkyStar2 inside the P2-M2A690G are:

- No DVB-S reception after S3 standby, even not with Tuner re-init selected in TVServer Setup.
Problem seems to be card/driver related, not MP related and is present with every TVServer
version. It sometimes works with Rev. 4.4.1 RC2 of the driver, but also not reliable.

- No S4 (hibernation) standby possible. Vista32 crashes while resuming from S4 standby.
This is also probably related to the SkyStar2.

Try using MPStandbyHandler, it may solve your problems.

If you are going to use, remove reinit tuner from powerscheduler.

Hi,
some time passed in between, but now I tested MPStandbyHandler with my
setup. In deed it fixed the re-init after standby problem with my SkyStar 2 PCI
card.
But unfortunately it seems to induce new problems. Scheduled recordings sometimes
get not executed now (systems wakes not up) and form time to time MPStandbyHandler
crashes during resuming from standby :-(

So unfortunately no real solution to get the system ready for usage by the family.
