dvb-s radio (1 Viewer)

Hi all,

I am trying to make a dvb-s radio stream available that can be handled by any media player - ultimately it should be integrated in Logitech's SqueezeCenter.

Now, as I am not too experienced in streaming issues I wonder in which (raw) format the dvb-s radio stream is produced and how to get it transcoded into a widely used format such as mp3.

I would appreciate any help on that. Thanks!

could you please let me know how you think this would work out? can orb access the tvserver? because the tuners will be locked by mediaportal. so there's no possibility to access the tuner directly by another app.

but basically I think it should also be possible to use mpwebservices, isn't it? the remaining challenge is that up to now I was only able to listen to the stream in vlc. but isn't there a way to transcode that stream so that it also can be read with wmp & co?

if you open the file as M3U file then WMP can play it.

about ORB, you can just disable from media portal one of your tuners (if you have dual)

This is not the case - neither with TV nor with radio. What could be wrong?

you need to config the plugin (at tv server settings) to output 3u file

m3u is not the problem, but mediaplayer keeps loading. after a minute or so I get the message that the stream cannot be played.
