DVB-S2 - which card? (1 Viewer)

I know dvb-s2 itself isn't properly supported yet, but I'm going to be building a dvb-s htpc and would like to already install a suitable card.

The question is, which card should I get, that I could use right now to watch DVB-S (along with mpeg2 hd) along withy DiseqC (with 4 satelites) and also watch DVB-S2 some time in the future?

I recently got a Hauppauge NOVA-HD-S2, but sadly diseqc tuning doesn't work, which makes the card rather useless.

It would also be great if the card would theoretically work with linux/mythtv.

How about the Technotrend S2-3200 ?

    DVB-S2 runs pretty fine over here

    I own that one and i can tell you it does its job quite good so far (with MP) (-;

    Hi,

    I own also a TT S2-3200 but even with the latest MediaPortal installation and the latest TT driver (5.0.0.2), I have problems to descramble encrypted channels after hibernate. It just does not work. The problem seems to be the way MediaPortal accesses the TT driver because the TT MediaCenter has no problems to descramble after hibernate.

    @Do you have a CAM and smartcard? If yes, which one? Is it working fine for you, also after hibernate?

    Yeah, but so does the Hauppauge Nova-HD-S2, sadly it only works with the original software, but not with MediaPortal or ProgDVB even. Something to do with the BDA spec not having anything for DiseqC and that free software developers don't know how to switch diseqc using the manufacturers custom commands.

    So does DiseqC actually work with MediaPortal on this card, or any other decent S2 card for that matter?
