Hi. I've just upgraded from RC4 to final and I discovered that still DVB subtiles are not functioning for at least BBC HD. Still crashing with .NET2 error in dvbsub2.ax.

See also topic for RC4: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/1-0-rc2-svn-builds-280/no-subtitles-hd-channels-44813/index3.html#post346843

I can provide download link for BBC HD sample ts file if needed.

A sample would be required, yes.
Please upload a small recording, (30 s with subtitles is plenty) to the ftp server:

    Hi,
BBC HD works fine her(but it's on thor), make sure you use latest drivers(yes beta) & latest firmeware update which is required to have HW filtering to work.

    Regards
    Roy

Thanks. I shall check my firedtv driver. I believe that the firmware is the latest one.

I uploaded a file called BBC HD dvb sub errror.ts to the ftp server. It's the same that you already downloaded from my server I think.

This is the error in the application eventlog:

    Code:
    Event Type:	Error
Event Source:	.NET Runtime 2.0 Error Reporting
    Event Category:	None
    Event ID:	1000

I'm using the latest floppydtv s2 firmware and drivers:

    HW Ver.: 01.24.04
    FW Ver.: 1.5.0 Build 22720
    Driver : 5.0.1

    Oh my god!!!

I cannot describe how relieved I am at stumbling across this thread!!! Completely by mistake as I was searching for info on the FloppyDTV...

BBC HD has been crashing my MediaPortal since before Christmas....I've tried about 5 different h264 codecs, some with and without DXVA as I thought it was that causing the problem.

I wasn't getting any .NET runtime errors, only a constant System Error in ati2mtag which had the helpful 'UVD Information' as the description. It made me sure it was a codec/ati driver issue. I'd read every last line of the logs and couldn't pin it down to anything - I've attached some logs from the fault to maybe shed some more light for the devs.

Just switched off DVB subtitles and BBC HD is working again :D:D:D I would never have connected the problem developing to the time when BBC HD introduced DVB-Subs. I was about a week away from a completely fresh install of XP to try and solve the problem.

Obviously I want to keep DVB subtitles - but I prefer HD channel back.

I too had the problem and had disabled subtitles just before reading this thread. Thanks for the solution - it's saved me hours of trying to figure out the problem.

Hi tourettes, looking at your svn post here, it seems that the problem may have re-arisen.

I'm really happy with 1.0 and don't want to start playing with svns again and would like to wait for the 1.0.1 release before upgrading. If there are still some problems with the DVBSubs on BBC HD, you may want to look into them. I can certainly offer a sample .ts recording if you'd like...please PM me if you do want an up-to-date sample from BBC HD.

    Cheers
