    Hi

I am currently having an issue with teletext. Specifically nothing comes up.

I open the tv module and then go into teletext and I just get the mediaportal page, instead of page 100 like it should. This is something that used to work for me back in the early RCs for 1.0 but hasn't worked since.

I have a dual hybrid tuner with only the digital port plugged in. I have checked that teletext is enabled in MP. Any ideas anyone.

I had been wondering if it could be a driver thing, as I think I may have updated the drivers since it was last working. After discovering the second problem below I now discount this possibility.

In a similar potentially related issue, I am unable to view the DVB or Teletext subtitles when watching a program live, but it works on a recorded program.
Ordinarily I right click and select the subtitles button (or whatever it's called as I am not in front of a machine with MP ATM) or simply press the subtitles button on the remote. The button is missing for live programs but displays when the program has been recorded.

I am writing this at lunch today so sorry if I forgot any info you might need.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Using svn 22162 and these setting, I can get subtitles during live tv, the rest I cannot confirm as mheg5 here.

    Thanks for your reply PD.

My subtitles settings are basically the same as yours. I have also tried a bunch of configs eg. turned off dvb subtitles or pick all posiible english languages etc.

Its weird because it was working quite well and it still does when I watch something that has finished recording.

I have DVB-Subtitles permanently on for the 4 channels I receive via DVB-T, and they have all been fine since I started using MediaPortal, and still is.

But...our broadcaster here in Denmark seems to have trouble keeping record of what the broadcast, especially the TSID is sometimes off, resulting in EPG not working. If the VPID or APID is off you dont'have any subtitles. Perhaps this is the case?

Look for an official chart with the numbers you need and compare them to the ones actually in the channel-config for DVB-T.

Thanks for the info pilehave, but if I understand what you are saying correctly then the .ts files that are recorded would also not have any subs in them.

My .ts files have subs in them and they work quite well in recorded tv just not live.

Also I just tried doing a full uninstall of MediaPortal to see if it was an issue of putting svn over the top of another svn and so on, but that didn't work. So I restored the old CONFIGURED MP via backupsettings. Awesome plugin BTW.

Perhaps someone could run through the steps on how to enable teletext in MP (besides PDs screenshot) so that I can verify that I haven't just stuffed up my config.

I must say that I have NEVER got this to work. Page 100 (and all other pages) always display the 'MediaPortal' screen and I have the same settings as above. Never really played about with it too much to figure out the fault as it's not a crucial feature for me...

Please remember that the actual teletext implementation is not having anything in common with the DVB subtitle (teletext or bitmap) support. So both issues should be talked in completely different threads.
