Okay, here's the story...
I have done really _EVERYTHING_ I could. but no luck.
I am living in Catalonia (Spain), Terrassa (Barcelona area).
Everything is working just fine with my HTPC except for one thing.
It will not allow me to switch between audio-channels while watching one specific channel, TV3 (TV Catalunya) while timeshifting. I am not a native Catalan and therefore sometimes wish to view the programs in English Original version. Which ussually resite on Channel2.
Before I was unable to listen to channel 2 on TV3 (it would just be silent), but this thread, https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/dvb_t_no_audio_some_channels-t15429.html, led me to installing AC3Filter which solved that issue.
So without timeshifting I have no problems, but with, as soon as I change the audio channel, MP replays the last second of the last recorded bit before switching to the audio channel and then hangs.
Diagnostics:
In other channels, when I switch audio language while timeshifting, I notice the switch goes quite quick. It seems like the graph is not being restarted but just merely goes on while reconnecting the pins from the multiplexer to ac3filter (snooping this from graphedt).
However I can notice (by the noise in the background) when I change the audio channel in TV3, it is trying to restart the graphs.
I think this has to do something with the audio-format being used by TV3. I noticed that when I switch audio-channels in TV3 without timeshifting and open the AC3Config while its running in the graph, that channel 2 comes in as mono on the center speaker only. Note also that NONE MPEG decoder filter (MPA, Dscaler) is able to decode the channel, except AC3Filter.
I am getting the feeling that Mediaportal is thinking that it is failing to decode the channel and therefore tries to restart the graphs, desperately attempting to find the right decoding chain, while actually AC3Filter is just fine with it. Then it seems that Mediaportal gives up and stops both the graphs. When I choose to change channels afterwards all goes fine. However if I try to shut down the TV and put it back on while still on TV3 directly after, it fails and it will refuse to go back on.
I have tried this with the 3 drivers mentioned in the specs above and with the 0.2.2.0 release of Mediaportal and the latest SVN of today (12-2-2007).
If you need some debugging done please let me know, I write C# myself...
Hope you can point me out to some ideas without directly diving into the source...
Many thanks,
Bjorn
PS All this works fine in PowerCinema 4 that came with the card.
