    Hi Devs!

I have two issues with DVD Playback:

    1. Navigation in some ripped (VIDEO_TS) DVDs doesn't work: Timeline = 0, Step fw or back goes to the end or to the beginning of the movie! I have tried it with DVD Navigator, PDVD 8 Navigator and PDVD 9 Navigator, with all the same issue!

    2. Native DVD Playback doesn't work -> MP hangs completely, i have to close it with MPConfig!

    Logs and screenshot are attached!

    Best regards

Nothing that can be fixed on MP side. We are completely relying on the duration etc. that DVD navigator is reporting.

Can be closed i think, see https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/mediaportal-1-1-0-beta-1-454/skip-steps-not-working-69913/ and Mantis.
@Tourettes: Who can test before/after BETA situation?

And the second issue: DVD Playback not working?

Sorry, didn't spot anything odd in the logs. Does it happen with all DVDs (real ones especially, not with ISOs). Can anyone else reproduce that issue? Does it happen with all DVD navigators (and available codecs?)

    Hi tourettes!

It happens with PDVd 8 & 9 codecs and navigators! Here Thor2605 reported the same issue -> Link!

I cannot read German :) So, following questions are still valid ones

    • Does it happen every single DVD you are able to test?
    • Does it affect ISOs?
    • Are all the DVDs ripped ones? (badly mastered DVDs maybe?)
    • Does using AnyDVD help? (could be a protection issue)
    • As you are running Windows 7, does it happen with MS DVD navigator and MS MPEG2 video codec?
    • Does it happen also with Windows Vista / XP?

I thougt, the logs are enough!

    • Does it affect ISOs?

    • As you are running Windows 7, does it happen with MS DVD navigator and MS MPEG2 video codec?
    • Does it happen also with Windows Vista / XP?

    • I have made a test with 10 DVD's, i have bought. -> not working
    • ISOs are working fine
    • The same with AnyDVD enabled or disabled
    • It happens als with the MS DVD navigator and MS MPEG2 video codec
    • unfortunately i can not make a test with Vista at the moment

[Update] i have found one working DVD, but there are > 5 min. between inserting the disc and start of playback!

    Best regards

Helios61: Can you play back your DVD's outside MediaPortal? In Windows Mediaplayer?
