The navigation in some DVD's (p.e. Catwoman, Casino Royale) doesn't work anymore after installation of the latest SVN19158 from 23.05.08. After clicking on a submenu (p.e. Audio) of the DVD, no further navigation is possible; the system is not responding until the DVD is stopped. The option "Turn off DxVA..." and the DVD Navigator have no influence on this behaviour - I have tested the Cyberlink DVD navigator (PDVD7) and the "normal" DVD Navigator with and without the option "Turn off DxVA". Normal DVD playing is working.
There was not such a problem with the same DVD's and the same configuration in the previous SVN's. After restoring the last version with the backup/restore function, the DVD navigation works perfectly.

    Error description:
    1. start mediaportal in fullscreen mode
    2. go to DVD
    3. activate a DVD submenu
    4. the DVD menu doesn't respond

    Play DVD from Video GUI
Try to access any submenu from main DVD screen, unable to then navigate submenu.
Mouse over restores submenu function, until you exit that menu and re-enter it again, still does not respond until mouseover again.

    Hi,
Not able to confirm this(maybe add a step by step since brain it's slow in this nice weather), but have another weirdo here & that is when a iso it's mounted with daemon tools MP looses focus & i have to enable it with mouse again. Weirdo here it's only affect one computer(Vista x64) but not laptop which also use vista x64 :p

    1. Start DVD from within Movie menu.
    2. Select language
    3. watch license\copyright crap pass before the eyes
    4. main menu loads
    5. select any extra's menu
    6. now no navigation possible, unless you gain focus with a mouse.

Sounds a bit like your problem with no focus on the iso.

Tried with StarTrek Nemesis & Casino Royale.

Yep, I can confirm - same problem here with latest SVN 19228. I use the CyberLink DVD 7 video decoder and navigator. Changing to other combinations has no positive effect, or makes it worse ... :(

Same problem for me with Futurama DVD's all Seasons. After the Root Menu loads and I pick something I can hear the sound effect for the Sub Menu but the picture stays frozen like I'm still on the Root Menu. I can press Stop to stop it and sometimes I can press my OK button to play the episode because by default the cursor goes to Play Episode on these DVD's. So it is like it goes to the next menu but the screen does not reflect that.

    Hi all,

I'm experiencing a similar problem with some DVDs - either very slow navigation or navigating locking up the application (well, not completely, but as an example with a Gilmore Girls DVD, the root menu loads, then I can navigate one menu across but the screen locks up and I can't bring up the context menu or the OSD). Others are just very slow, or seem to lock up the screen for about 30 seconds between selections. I'm using RC1 with 19228. I can't actually use the PowerDVD navigator (the DVD just starts with a blank screen), but the PowerDVD codecs work OK.

No problems navigating withing PowerDVD or Windows Media Player as stand-alone apps.

    Cheers,
    Craig

    Add another 'me too' post.

The last two SVNs are giving me slow (if any) navigation on the DVD menus.

I'll test an older SVN later this evening when I have some free time.
