    Hi all,

many thanks for the latest beta of moving pictures. It is great !
I am using the latest MP SVN version and the latest beta of the Moving Pictures plugin.
To mount iso files I use Virtual Clone Drive under Windows 7 (64bit).

I observed the following strange behavior with Moving Pictures:
    - iso files of DVDs on my harddisk start quickly without any problem using My Movies
    - but: the same iso files can not be played with Moving Pictures and a small error message occurs when the DVD navigation menue is visible (see attachment)
    - iso files of BluRays run very fine with Moving Pictures

So is there a specific issue with mounting DVD iso files within Moving Pictures ?
Maybe somebody knows this small error message I have attached.

Somebody might, but for real support, you *HAVE* to start providing debug enabled log files. Check the Wiki pages otherwise on how to properly provide log files which will explain what exactly goes wrong. Otherwise it is finding a needle in haystack

Can you please provide debug log files? Without them it is impossible for us to diagnose your problem. And when you say it works fine in MyMovies, do you mean MyVideos? MyMovies is a MCE plugin that is completely unrelated to playback in MediaPortal.

    Hi fforde,

I mean MyVideos included in the MediaPortal Software.
Here are the logs (I tried to play an iso file called "HDTV Test DVD".

Thanks tomhai, that helps. I hate to ask but do you think you could provide log files for when it plays correctly in MyVideos?

I played the same iso file without any problems with MyVideos.
I did not touch Moving Pictures to play the DVD this time.
    Here are the logs.

tomhai can you try and switch to another dvd navigator in the mediaportal codec setup or disable DXVA (both settings can be changed in the DVD area) and see if the issue is still there with moving pictures?

    Hi armandp,

turning off DXVA does not change the issue.
With Moving Pictures I still get the small pop up error message.
I will try other DVD navigators soon (with PDVD9 navigator I had several other problems, so I did not use it in MP).

During the last days I detected that the issue reported in my first post only occurs when the option "Keep MediaPortal always on top" is not set.
I could reproduce the issue many times by activating and deactivating this option in MP settings.
With "Keep MediaPortal always on top" activated the error shown in my first post never occurred.
Maybe the handling of application focus of Moving Pictures has to be reviewed.
