Hi, I've just set up my HTPC after struggeling with MYTH TV for a few months, this is so much better! it's been running for a few weeks now.

I have a problem with DVD play back, it will only play in a fast forward or high speed fassion. I cannot seem to play at normal speeds or reduce the speed, has anyone seen this before? can you please help?

I have found this thread https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/general-support-51/cd-dvd-speed-settings-lost-18772/
however this is quite old and I cannot see the fix in the post, maybe its just me? It also has a link to an older post on DVD drive speed settings being made in the mediaportal.xml file but there are so many xml files and I cannot find the one thy refer to!

Please help....
:D

I had the same problem with the TV, it only played in Fast Forward mode. I solved this by switching from ffdshow to another codec for video and audio. I did not investigate this further afterwards, so I can't tell you what *exactly* was the problem with my ffdshow. So try switching the codecs and see if it helps.

Hi thanks for the reply, yep have tried every codec on the box but it does not seem to make a differance. do you need to restart after changing video codecs?

Resolved myself. Still using ffdshow. ffdshow has configuration options that require enabling to correctly function.
