DVICO FusionHDTV Dual Digital 2 (1 Viewer)

Hi all
Can anyone tell me if MediaPortal supports the above DVB card. I know the DVICO FusionHDTV Dual Digital is supported (one is PCI the other USB) and works quite well but I woul dlike to purcahse the digital2 as it has support for popwering up the machine from the remote and would like to know what is invloved in getting it working.

DVICO FusionHDTV Dual supports remote power up too... just have to set the correct jumper setting on it.

Hi are you talking about the PME/SW jumper settings or the other jumper that is not diocumented as to what it does? I'm using ACPI (not APM) and have the power from the motherboard going through the card. With this setup I can hit the power button twice and it goes into standby but no remote button will bring it back up again.

Do you have it working yourself?

Hi which sticky are you referring to if it is the supported card list there is no mention of the fusion digital2 card??

I have been in touch which dvico about this issue and just found an email from them saying in effect that the dual card (not dual2) does not support this


"If you want to use the pc on, hardware must have IR chip on the main PCB.
But there is no this chip on the dual digital1 model."

Do you if this is true? I mean it certainly seems so unless they wnat me to fork out money for the latest model??
