    CVS version 03-09-2006--01-04

    I have 2 DVB-T cards installed - a Dvico FusionHDTV DVB-T, and a DNTVLive! LP.

    The DNTVLive! LP works fine with the latest CVS releases.

    However, my Dvico FusionHDTV DVB-T card causes MediaPortal to hang when I change to a channel that has a non-zero value for the AC3 PID. The error message in the MediaPortal.log file is:-

    9/03/2006 7:41:32 PM DVBGraphBDA: try:mad:device : pnp:\\?\pci#ven_14f1&dev_8802&subsys_db0018ac&rev_05#3&13c0b0c5&0&52#{fd0a5af4-b41d-11d2-9c95-00c04f7971e0}\global

    9/03/2006 7:41:32 PM DVBGraphBDA:Failed to connect samplegrabber filter->mpeg2 demultiplexer

    At this point MediaPortal will hang and even though I can close MediaPortal, an instance is still running and I have to use Task Manager to kill the MediaPortal process....

    This problem began with the CVS of March 1st - which was the time that this change was made:-

    MediaPortal MyTV: On 01/03/2006 [08:44:47] _Frodo_ added the following change: pid changes are now detected and updated in the tv database

    Prior to March 1st, I had deleted the AC3 PID data from my TV channels, and so this problem did not occur, but since March 1st, the deleted PID data is automatically updated each time the channel is used.

    Please let me know if any other data is required, or any other testing required.....as I would love to be able to use both DVB cards again....:)

    I'm getting something similar in behavior with my Vbox DTA-150. MyTV will seem to lose sync with the AC3 stream. My receiver goes crazy and I have to back out of MyTV. Other than the back button, my remote is completely unresposive during this event.

    Here is some code:

    Yes, that sure looks like the same issue (but with slightly different symptoms) as I experience - the clue is this message in the MediaPortal.log file:-

    DVBGraphBDA:FAILED cannot connect pins:0x80040217

    I notice that you have 2 ATSC cards - do you get the same problem with both cards?

    Using the 11-03-2006-12-22 Dev Snapshot.

    Problem still exists however there is NOTHING in the log now related to the issue, specifically the "DVBGraphBDA:FAILED cannot connect pins:0x80040217" is no longger referenced. The AC3 error began at approximately 7:10. There is nothing logged in that time period until I escape dout of myTV FullScreen.

    I have done some more testing with the latest CVS (03-11-2006--01-10) and the problem still exists, but it occurs whenever I change from a channel transmitting AC3 to a channel that is not transmitting AC3 and whenever I change from a channel that is not transmitting AC3 to a channel that is transmitting AC3....:confused:

    In other words, the problem is to do with switching between channels, one of which is AC3 and the other is not AC3. The sequence of switching is not a factor.

    MediaPortal will hang, and the entry in the MediaPortal.log file is always this:-

    12/03/2006 10:11:55 AM DVBGraphBDA:FAILED cannot connect pins:0x80040217
    12/03/2006 10:11:55 AM DVBGraphBDA:Failed to connect samplegrabber filter->mpeg2 demultiplexer

    I then have to close MediaPortal and then use Task Manager to end the MediaPortal.exe process......

    Here's my log file from Scoop's Test Tool that should capture the error messages that relate to this problem.

    I cannot test the channel change issue because every channel that I can receive has ac3 sound.

    I'm still getting the AC3 sound issues after 10-20 minutes of viewing. It's like the ac3 signal get's out of sync or something.

    @C64 this may be sth other - I finally changed my soundcard due to this issue..

    Current CVS releases seem to show the same behaviour for SkyStar2 when changing between AC3 enabled / disabled channels.

    I would concur except for the problem is not present with SageTV or the Feb 5, 2006 CVS build. The Feb 5, 2006 CVS build works virtually flawlesly with ATSC TV for me.
