dvr-ms to Xvid conversion (1 Viewer)

I've written a small app that will let you convert dvr-ms to xvid or x264. It also lets you edit the dvr-ms prior to conversion.

I will add .ts support once .ts files make it into a stable release.

Yup we have, at least for DVR-MS recordings. I guess as soon .TS recordings are stable it'll also be possible to convert them to XViD. The Compress module currently has support for conversion from DVR-MS to MPG, WMV and XViD.

That's the point!
The conversation-function we have right now only works with my recordings MP has in it's database.
But after some installations and new CVS my recordings database is empty. :?
Having a conversation-tool as a separate module or plugin would be great, so i can choose every file stored on my hdd, that would be great!

Thanks for the feedback.

While MediaPortal does have xVid conversion, it doesn't allow editing of the dvr-ms files prior to conversion, and (I think) doesn't allow scheduling of conversions (which will be in my next release).

Eventually, I want to move to a client-server model, so that you can view & edit files across the network, but do the actual processing on a different machine.

If you find any bugs or have enhancement suggestions, please post them to sourceforge for me.
