Since I like VLC for it's simplicity, I sometimes use it on my desktop PC to watch the material recorded with MediaPortal.
However watching DVR-MS files with VLC is just not working properly for me. Audio is out of sync and the movie itself kinda stutters sometimes. Is this something only I have or does anyone else got something similar? If not, where should I start looking for trying to resolve this issue?

Check your codec merit levels with a utility. HOW does WMP do on the same files? I had issue with MPV playing them in 4:3 mode, so I lowered the merit to 0 and WMP-11 now used NVidia PureVideo or anything I select via the MS Decoder tool. Also, I use AC3Filter for my audio.

  • About The Project

The vision of the MediaPortal project is to create a free open source media centre application, which supports all advanced media centre functions, and is accessible to all Windows users.

In reaching this goal we are working every day to make sure our software is one of the best.

  • Support MediaPortal!

The team works very hard to make sure the community is running the best HTPC-software. We give away MediaPortal for free but hosting and software is not for us.

Care to support our work with a few bucks? We'd really appreciate it!
