I have had many "codec" problems, specialy in OnlineVideos, and a couple of weeks ago I decided to find an easy Codec setup that can play "all" my files.... i made a Virtual machine and started testing different codec packs and installation metodes ... this is what worked for me, hope this can help You :)

    0. Uninstall all codec related stuff...and reboot.
    1. Download and install KB971633, this will fix something with quartz.dll
    2. Install K-Lite_Codec_Pack Full version, and choose the "Profil 7: Lots of Stuff"
    3. Install QuickTime DirectShow Source Filter
    4. In "Directshow filter Control / Video Renderer Settings" I changed to "Enhanced Video Renderer"
