MediaPortal Version: 0.2.3.0 RC3 + TVE3
Windows Version: WinXP SP2
CPU Type: Celeron 3.2GHz
HDD: Samsung S-ATA 200GB
Memory: 1GB DDR400 CL2
Motherboard: Asus P5P800-VM
Motherboard Chipset: Intel 865G
Video Card: ATI 9550
Sound Card: Terratec Aureon 5.1
1. TV Card: Hauppauge Nova-T (90002 chip)
1. TV Card Type: DVB-T
Remote: MCE remote
TV: LG 20LS3R
TV - HTPC Connection: HDMI
Projector: JVC D-ILA G10
Projector - HTPC Connection: Analog RGB
I have a dedicated HTPC with two displays connected to it: a small 20" TV and a projector. I use both from the same viewing position. The TV is mainly for controlling Mediaportal, watching news and other not-so-important programs. For movies I switch to the projector.
I'd like to have an easy method to switch Mediaportal from the TV to the projector and back. Ideally I'd like to press a button with my remote and it would turn on the projector, switch MP there and then turn off my TV. I already wrote some small programs to turn the projector on/off via RS232 and I could do the same for the TV, when I get the right cable for it. I assume that I could use the ATI Catalyst software to make a macro for changing the display, but I haven't tried that yet.
Has anyone tried something similar? Any tips on how to get there?
