Hi all,
A friend put me onto the forum as a good source.
I am using a Reelbox linux-based DVB-S receiver that provides an http mpeg-2 PS streaming service. I can record this stream directly to disk on my PC using firefox, wget, etc.
The requirement I have is to be able to dump subsections of the stream out to file while the programme is still feeding (e.g. crop a five minute section). While I can open the captured mpeg2 file with a utility such as VideoReDo Plus, it won't let me create the cropped file while the file is still open...
I have a basic workaround of copying the captured file and carrying out the edit using the copy; however this becomes an issue as the file grows bigger and bigger.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Regards,
Chris
