I wish, the nearest is to have MP running on a stripped down version of XP with MP as the shell. Select the right motherboard and remote and you can use the Hibernation feature as a means of almost instant on. Some of the DVD recorders that are coming to market have network capabilities but their interfaces leave a lot to be desired and are certainly not up to your magnificent skin contributions. Generally if you look at the standalone network media players available they all suffer from being stand alone i.e. they generally are not easily adaptable to new codecs etc. But we live in hope.
Most of the embedded (also applies to the micro motherboards) computer systems I have seen don't have the video horsepower or video memory needed in the video area that MP needs.
