EPG not working (1 Viewer)

MediaPortal Skin: Default
Windows Version: Vista home premium 64
CPU Type: Athlon 64 6000+
Memory: 2 gig
Video Card: x1950 pro
Sound Card: audigy SE

For some reason ever since upgrading to vista and reinstalling mp I cant get the epg to work, the channels all scan in fine with no worries. I have the tick box checked for the dvb guide, and have tried to setup the wpg application too. Yet still I find no results.

It may be that I have just forgotten something very simple here, anyone care to offer some clues?

The TVguide.xml has to be in the same folder as the DTD file, Vista that would be c\program DATA\team mediaportal\mediaportal\xmltv folder.

As for EPG grab over air, ticking the option "grab EPG from DVB" should be enough. of course this may take a hour plus with MP running to fully populate.
