Hi,

In New Zealand we changed our clocks forward one hour last night for the start of daylight savings.
The problem is that now all the programs in the EPG are showing 1 hour earlier than they should.
i.e. 6 o'clock news shows at 5pm in the EPG.
EPG is being grabbed via DVB-S.

How do I go about fixing this?

I have run the SQL query to empty the EPG data and hit the Refresh EPG button as well.
I have also removed TVServer and installed the latest SVN.
The clock on the TVServer computer is showing the correct time.

In the standalone MP you specify how many hours you want to offset the EPG by, well that is when you use an xml file anyways... I had to reset mine to 13 hours after the daylight savings change. No idea how the DVB-S works but i assume you should be able to do something similar right?

I had to do the same - update to -13 hours from -12 to get the programs to show properly. Due to the offsets in the xmltv tvguide.xml file. The times in the file include a timezone component. i.e ONE News At Midday has a time of: "20071001120000 +1300".

It would be nice if I could get MP to ignore the timezone component all together... I recently upgraded to a new version of xmltvnz from reven and saw the time component was now added (and had to add the -12 offset). When the time zone component wasn't there it worked fine. When it appeared I had to update MP to remove it, then update it again yesterday. I had thought about writing a perl script to remove the time components from the xml file...

    Cheers,
    Paul.

Yea the problem is that there doesn't appear to be a time offset setting anywhere for an EPG that is coming via DVB-S.
    i.e. not using xmltvnz
The guide just automatically gets downloaded. I didn't have to do anything to make it work other than tick the channels that I want it to grab the EPG for.
Maybe there is a setting for the time offset somewhere but I can't find it.

Hmmmm mine hasn't fixed it self yet :(

Where are you getting your data from? sky nz through dvb-s or another source?

I am using Sky through DVB-S and it was a bit messed up untill last night, then it came right around 6pm.

Also, remember to install the daylight saving patch on your media pc!

And you have installed the timezone update rather than just updating your clock on the pc? I dont think Vista needs patching, everything else does tho....
