Greetings.
I'm a BeyondTV user, trying to install and use MP.
I have successfully installed the TV Server and then MP. I chose that I would like to watch TV, but not HD TV in the installer questions.
My system meets all requirements. I have a Hauppauge PVR-500 with dual analog tuners.
I can scan each tuner, and get numbered channels. I can also play live TV through MP.
However, I can't get the EPG to work. This seems to be a very confusing setup.
Let me state what I think I know.
First, I have channels that are simply listed as numbers in TV Server. I have checkmarked the XMLTV plugin.
I wanted to use WebEPG to grab the appropriate guide. However, when I try to import the channels (by clicking on the import button in the WebEPG-Config.exe screen). It simply says "An error has occurred."
This whole process seems confusing. There doesn't seem to be a guide for analog-only setups. I would love to use MP for my entire HTPC, but I have to have the EPG.
Can anyone run through the steps to set up the EPG for MP and TV Server 1.0 using the WebEPG grabber system and analog tuners?
Most people here seem to take for granted their cards will simply "pick up" the EPG from the line. I am using traditional analog cable - not digital.
One last piece of information - I live near Buffalo, New York, USA.
