Error on startup (1 Viewer)

Hi, im having an issue with mediaportal hanging only the first time it starts up after boot. it will hang on the initializing direct x screen. and then in the background an error window has popped up saying "This sample cannot run in a desktop window with the current display settings.Please change your desktop settings to a16- or 32-bit display mode and re-run this sample"

i click ok.. then it closes mediaportal.. then I start mediaportal again and its fine.

also how do I get the green button on my remote to pull up mediaportal

I can't help with your startup problem, but for the green button, you can try one of the various methods in this thread.

Anyone else on the startup issue please?

I have since rebuilt the machine from scratch.. not sure if its the version of mediaportal i thought 1.0.2.0 was compatible with Windows 7.... any help would be great.. here are the new logs

Although some people have had success, 1.0.2 is not officially supported on Win 7 by the team. If you want to try out the current test version, 1.1.0 alpha + latest SVN, you might have better luck and support on Win 7.

Hi, i've currently installed mediaportal 1.1.0 alpha and im still having the issue when the pc autostarts saying that mediaportal cannot start because the of the display settings. and it says to change to either 16bit or 32bit display mode. it says this when initializing Direct X

This is the error in the logs

I see the same :

When setting MP to start with windows startup.

If I start MP my self there is no problem.
