Before going to bed last night, I stopped LiveTV and put MP on the Home screen, and left it to continue recording. When I checked this morning, the PC was still on and MP said it had been unable to go into standby because of an error waiting to be sent. There was also maybe 200 error popups I had to close (all relating to HcwHelper I think). When I closed MP, another HcwHelper error popup appeared.
