Hi,

i have a problem with my remote since yesterday evening. I have upgrade my system inclusive MP, bad idea :(
Old version: 1.0.4 Beta New version: 1.1.0 RC2
It looks nice and is faster than 1.0.4 but i have problems with my remote...

I have used Event Ghost to control my MP and it works great. The Mediaportal Plugin in Eventghost makes no problems.
But now i can't control my MP. An upgrad to the newest version of eventghost doesn't pay.
I have nothing changed on the config. It must work :/

Is the plugin obsolete?

Any problems known?

Please help me :)

thx

Hmm, ok.
I will reinstall Eventghost maybe this helps.

Can you upload your config file?

Has you set some options in MP Config to use Eventghost? Maybe an Plugin or so?

Thx for your help :)

Ah thx, thats my problem. I have to install MessagePlugin but i have problems with it.

That is, what i have done:

Place MessagePlugin.dll in the MediaPortal\Plugins\Process\ folder.
Place MessagePlugin.xml in the MediaPortal\InputDeviceMappings\Defaults\ folder.
- Disable any remote plugins.

Where i have to place the "Source" files in the zip file?

How can i import MessagePlugin.hip in MP? What is HIP?
And the MessagePlugin is not shown in MP plugins.

thx for the config file :)

Source Files are only there for you to modify if needed I think, I did nothing with them

You don't need the HIP files either, this is only if you are using HIP (a bit like Girder I think).

Your MessagePlugin files are in the right places. I think you should be good to go. You said the plugin didn't show up in config, even in the process area? This needs to be there and enabled.

Try a restart of the PC, open Eventghost and see if it responds to keypresses, open mediaportal and see what happens

    After that I am stumped
