EXIF info in an OSD window (2 Viewers)

Hi,

Would it be possible that when a picture thumbnail is highlighted and the remote control "info" button or F3 is pressed that the EXIF data be displayed in an OSD window? So that date/time taken, filename, flash status, resolution, comments etc are displayed for that photo?

This would also be useful when a slideshow is running and you press the same button. Then the current full screen picture could have an overlay OSD window containing the data mentoioned above. Also make it pause slideshow until OSD is closed.

This feature already exists - when you press F9, "i", or mouse right-click, an OSD appears that gives you several options - one of them is "Properties" which displays the EXIF information ....

It does indeed exist, but this info should be easily accessible with the F3 button or alternative "one button access", as with videos etc. Its nice for the user to have a common info button to press for all media - pictures, videos and music mp3 tags (see my other post in listen music regarding tag viewing suggestions). Fullscreen video already pops up with an OSD. I think the EXIF data should be viewable with one button when viewing slideshows or browsing thumbnails. Also, the comments entry needs to scroll for longer than a few character descriptions.

I think its important to link all MP media viewing together with this sort of file info viewing....

Just a suggestion to make MP easier to use.....

I would also vote for this enhancement. Further more, it would be nice if other exif fields like description can also be visible.
