Experience with tuner cards (1 Viewer)

Hi all.
I am from Perth western Australia, and unfortunately none of the recommended tuner cards are easily available here.
The one widely available is the Compro VideoMate E700. Does anyone have any experience working this card with Media Portal? (on XP).
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

have you tried ebay.com.au?

Im in Aus, and picked up a hauppauge 1100 for $40 - its a great card. There's usually lots of good cards going cheap on there.

Also, staticice.com.au is a good resource for picking up cheap hardware in Oz, esp sorting by price and location.
