I was thinking about the current plug-in infrastructure and the fact that something might change due to the new gfx engine/architecture and tought about a request.

It would be very nice if plug-ins could interact/expand other plug-ins controls, specially in the main-plug-ins. One example would be the MyBurn plug-in changing the menu of MyTV to add a "Burn" option to the context. Or a MediaImport plug-in adding an option to some conext menus making it easier to import digital photos. Think about what Winrar does with the Windows context menu. That's the idea.

The only way I found to change this controls was trough modification of the main plug-ins, but then a patch must be submitted and this generates workload for the main developers. Also, this could eventually bloat the main plug-ins.

Well, anyway, this is just some food for tough. Any comments?
