Hiya

How exactly do I setup external channels. I've added all my settop boxes ir codes and they all work. In MCE plugin I've ticked tune external channels. Then in television under the tv channel CVBS#1 I've ticked the external control and set it to CVBS#1 but left the channel blank.

What more do I need to do to go into tv mode and be able to click the buttons on the remote to change channel? Does this external mode only count for recordings and I'll need to manually add them to the mce driver for tv events?

I've never seen a good guide on this, but there is a lot of information spread out through the forums.

External channel tuning will occur whenever an external channel is selected, not just for a recording.

Have a look around the forums for more info, it differs for TVE 2 and TVE 3 so be careful. If you want to post back any links you find we could compile a guide.
