External Display RecordingTV? (1 Viewer)

Hi,
Just want to know if this is possible. I have an Antec Fusion with a VFD (2 lines of text) and when I have a show recording I want to show 'RECORDING: <tvchannel(s)>' on line 1 and 'WATCHING: <tvchannel>' on line 2. Is this possible at all?? I see in the externaldisplay.xml there is a <Message Status="PlayingTV"> definition, just wondering if there is anything like a <Message Status="RecordingTV"> definition??

No... This is not possible...

The closest you can get is with a 'Status="Timeshifting"' tag... but this will not do what you want.... ("Timeshifting", although a form of recording, is not the same as Recording")

With the current ExternalDisplay framework... having a specific "Recording" tag would probably limit the drivers functionality... When MediaPortal is recording, it would either display only the recording information or only display the recording information when MediaPortal has no other activity.

Take a look at the CybrDisplay plugin available HERE... (It has a more advanced driver for the iMon displays)

Ask in that thread... If I get some time I'll see if I can figure out a way extend the plugin to give some sort of feedback about recording status...
