In an attempt to integrate Netflix Instant Watch material with my existing Moving Pictures and TV-Series libraries, I had the idea to create Windows '.url' shortcut files named appropriately to be indexed by the respective plugins, which could then be launched directly from MP into a browser to play in the Silverlight plugin. If I add '.url' to the list of video extensions and set the external player option to open in Firefox, this works pretty seamlessly (with some additional control from EventGhost to get me back to MP after the movie is done).

However, obviously, I can't use Firefox as my default player for any other type of movie. Seems like an external player plugin that opens Firefox mapped to the .url extension would do the trick, but I couldn't find anything to do that. Is there any existing external player plugin that will accomplish this?
