Watching live streamed tv doesn't display the correct time and show name on my external display. I am currently outputting data to my Antec VFD using the bundled "External Display" plugin. It outputs a random alpha string - presumably the id of the rtsp stream.

Watching a recording correctly displays the time and program name in the VFD.

It's be nice if the VFD outputted the name of the current program (gleaned from the EPG) and some time data if possible. Obviously with a livestream, the "time remaining" isn't going to be valid... so perhaps some other time data of use would be good - say time-remaining for this program.

  • About The Project

The vision of the MediaPortal project is to create a free open source media centre application, which supports all advanced media centre functions, and is accessible to all Windows users.

In reaching this goal we are working every day to make sure our software is one of the best.

  • Support MediaPortal!

The team works very hard to make sure the community is running the best HTPC-software. We give away MediaPortal for free but hosting and software is not for us.

Care to support our work with a few bucks? We'd really appreciate it!
