Failed to access IIS metabase (1 Viewer)

Failed to access IIS metabase

Followed the webinterface instal as close as possible and when trying to net access get this error.

SVN 13562.


The link to the MS website for the error isn't very helpful.

Any helpful\hints would be apreciated.

had exatcly the same issue and resolved it by repairing my .NET Framwork 2.0 as per the WKi trouble shooting section, item #1

Did try the recomendations in the MS KB artical 1st for user ASPNET 1st but did not seem to work...but just in case

correct, installing IIS after .net framework 2 could mess up a few things

I had this problem also and repairing the .NET 2.0 did the trick for me.

Thanks for the pointer, didn't see the troubleshoot page when I first looked.

Anyway .NET 2.0 reinstaled now rebooted, everything else had been done.

Rechecked through the wiki and .................

Now have the login screen but fails to login with given password and id.

Ok have moved on from the single seat server/client and testing from remote networks.

Remote networks worked fine .login ok and the whole NET access sytem looks excellent.

Just need to sort out the access while on the server!!

Not to sure where the logs are, if there are any.

Ok. As above I have no problems with networked pc's accessing the server .

But if I run the access on the server then at the login screen when I enter the correct user/password I cannot progress any further, the login screen is just presented again with blank fields.
