    Synopsis::

    Just installed latest CVS (14 January 01:09), ran 'start.bat', rebooted, and then ran 'MediaPortal Setup'. After prompting me twice to reconfigure my capture card I tried to do so but after a long time it comes back to say that it has failed to create the graph for this capture device. At that stage it has however identified the correct card, it just can't do anything with it. Lines from the error.log:

    14/01/2006 13:41:26 DVBGraphBDA: Unable to create graph Value does not fall within the expected range. at System.Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal.BindMoniker(IMoniker pmk, UInt32 grfOpt, Guid& iidResult, Object& ppvResult)
    at System.Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal.BindToMoniker(String monikerName)
    at MediaPortal.TV.Recording.DVBGraphBDA.CreateGraph(Int32 Quality)

    I also tried the CVS from 11 January and have the same issue. It seems quite a few people are having TV problems after the introduction of directshowlib 1.2 on the 9th of January, so I hope the MP team get to the bottom of this soon.

    In the meantime I've gone back to a CVS from 8 January and all is fine again.

    The same here

    Hi all

    Just tried the same, on my newly installed mediacenter, and i get the same result. "Failed to create graph" :(

    Was worried about my new mainboard could be the problem, but had no problem on the clean RC2 install. :D

    I'm Going back to a previous CVS, THNX for a great program and all your great work..

    :D

    I just tried the latest CVS (18 January 01:07), and still experience the same problem. Can this be escalated somehow so it is recognised as a bug? I don't mind performing some tests etc.

    AberDino - post your full MediaPortal.log into the MP Pastebin area - http://mp.pastebin.com

    Autoper - no it's not the same bug it is very interesting that others can use the PVR-150 just fine...

    Jowda - Is it the same error message that you get in the log? If so what DVB-T card etc etc?

    This is of concern...

    20/01/2006 19:53:40 DVBGraphBDA: Adding filter <TechnoTrend BDA/DVB-T Tuner> with moniker <@device:pnp:\\?\avstream#ptdvb_t#5&1794a94d&1&0#{71985f48-1ca1-11d3-9cc8-00c04f7971e0}\{9b365890-165f-11d0-a195-0020afd156e4}>
    20/01/2006 19:53:43 DVBGraphBDA: Added filter <TechnoTrend BDA/DVB-T Tuner> with moniker <@device:pnp:\\?\avstream#ptdvb_t#5&1794a94d&1&0#{71985f48-1ca1-11d3-9cc8-00c04f7971e0}\{9b365890-165f-11d0-a195-0020afd156e4}>

    It's taking 3 seconds to add the Technotrend DVB-T tuner to the graph - thats not good.

    Can you post the two similar lines from a working CVS build please.

    Please also try tuning from the Wizard within the MediaPortal GUI

    DMAN,

    MediaPortal.log from working CVS can be found here. I started MediaPortal, activated My TV module, then exit MediaPortal. As far as I can see, the three second delay is also present in the working CVS. However, in the faulty CVS it seems to want to build the graph twice, and I don't know whether that is normal:
    20/01/2006 19:53:40 DVBGraphBDA:CreateGraph().
    20/01/2006 19:53:44 DVBGraphBDA:CreateGraph().
    The second time it goes wrong:
    20/01/2006 19:53:44 DVBGraphBDA: Adding filter <TechnoTrend BDA/DVB-T Tuner> with moniker <@device:pnp:\\?\avstream#ptdvb_t#5&1794a94d&1&0#{71985f48-1ca1-11d3-9cc8-00c04f7971e0}\{9b365890-165f-11d0-a195-0020afd156e4}>
    20/01/2006 19:58:04 DVBGraphBDA: Unable to create graph Value does not fall within the expected range. at System.Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal.BindMoniker(IMoniker pmk, UInt32 grfOpt, Guid& iidResult, Object& ppvResult)
    at System.Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal.BindToMoniker(String monikerName)
    at MediaPortal.TV.Recording.DVBGraphBDA.CreateGraph(Int32 Quality)
    I'll try tuning from the MP GUI wizard later on today.

    Cheers
