I installed in mp the winamp plugin vis_classic. This is a spectrum analyser. I noticed that the graph displayed is fake!...
When i run this plugin in winamp then it displays correctly. (spikes on drumbeats for instance), not so in mp. It just seems its some random display. Does mp don't send the audio data but some random data?

:confused::confused:

Make sure "show visualizations" is enabled. Config->Music->Now Playing tab.

That's where mine was wrong when I installed Milkdrop.

I tried both. But still same effect. Perhaps someone can try to reproduce this. link to the amp plug spec analyser.

Try it with a song like "we will rock you" from Queen. It has a good beat which should show up as peaks. But it doesn't. Compare it to what winamp shows.
