Fanart, Moving Pictures, backdrops? (Movie backgrounds) (1 Viewer)

Hi all

Please could someone explain to me how to get the movie backgrounds to work?

I am currently using streamedmp skin but I'm unable to get the 'fanart' to work. I have installed the fanart handler plugin and placed my movie background images in the fanart folder in the movies sub folder. I have named for example Avatar - Avatar1 but when I run imdb I can only view the cover and movie info. The backround remains as the default empty seat image.

I've spent the last 3 days trying to get this to work but have come to the conclusion I must be doing something fundamentally wrong. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I can't even search the forum at present as I'm not even sure which of the above I should be searching for!!!

Are using the latest version 1.1.0 RC2?

Are you using the plugin "MovingPictures"? Try downloading and using that instead of the built in video plugin. The MovingPictures plugin handles fanart, the imdb lookup etc. All you should have to do is drop a video into a monitored folder and it should show up.

Hi jona78, I was trying to do the same thing. Then I found a topic about this in the StreamedMP forum. Apparently StreamedMP does not currently support fanart in My Videos (it only supports fanart in My Music). This might change in the future. If you want to have fanart when browsing movies, for now you gotta use Moving Pictures.
