I have an hauppauge pvr 16... tv tuner card. My system is fairly new (within the last year). I cant really remember the specs but it has at least 2GB of ram, some nvidia video card....
Anyway it is very slow changing channels and sometimes when i change the channel it pauses for a few seconds (like maybe 10 to 15) then goes back to the original channel but the image is frozen and to change the channel i just have to hit the up or down channel button on my remote to change the channel then i can go back.
I havent really looked into this very much but has anyone gotten their tv tuners to work with channels that broadcast in widescreen? I know over the air channels are but i dont think channels over cable are? I'd have to look into it a little more.
I had something else to add.... but forgot.....
So does anyone else have these sort of issues? I was thinking about getting a new tv tuner card but now that i think about it i dont think the slow channel thing is the card. Does anyone know of a good high end tuner for the US?
