In my tve3 network client the ffdshow raw post process filter does not work in my TV module. In the My DVD and the My Videos the ffdshow raw works so there is no problem regard ffdshow settings.
In the single site config on the server the ffdshow raw works in TV module too.

Can anyone reproduce this issue ot this happens only on my system?

    Thanks in advance.

It happens to me as well - I get video but it is distorted and has a bunch of green lines running through it. I used to use FFDshow with the old TV engine to improve the video quality but somehow things look much better with my setup using the TV server without FFDShow. Regardless, I'd still like to be able to use it to tweak things a bit. I'll have to enable it again and see if anything shows up in the logs.

Can anyone confirm this? In MyTV plugin (for TVE3) does not use the ffdshow raw filter on network client but it use in single site client.

AFAIK FFDShow is not associated with mpeg2 files, so does nothing too them.

Have a look at file types supported\associated by default in FFDShow itself.

regeszter was not talking about ffdshow itself...

As far as I understood he was talking about "ffdshow raw post process filter" which DOES work on the single site cofig but does not work in the network client configuration...

I can confirm this (same here with me). In addition I've seen in graph edit, that in the network client the chosen decoder (in my case PowerDVD) is also NOT used as configured; instead MPV seems to be used all the time...

Since this only happens with on the network client the question was (and is) if this is due to the network client plugin?

Any help is highly appreciated, thx.

    Hi,
I can confirm this (same here with me). In addition I've seen in graph edit, that in the network client the chosen decoder (in my case PowerDVD) is also NOT used as configured; instead MPV seems to be used all the time...

I haven't tested TVE3 since quite a time. But if this is true (MP using wrong filter). This will be the reason for ffdshow not working. Unfortunately the ffdshow raw filter does not connect to MPV. I also recognized this in DVD postprocessing. But this seems to be a bug of MPV, which is not related to MP. Gabest is the developer of MPV.

    So:
    - Bug of MP: Using wrong filter!
    - Bug of MPV: Not connecting to ffdshow raw filter.

    Flip.

No! MP uses good filter in network client too. The problem is with the post process filters. My network client does not use the ffdshow raw filter in TV module. This happens only in the TV module!

I have similar problem with my TV client. For some reason, the video decoder when running TV is the decoder that I select under Movie=>Player not the decoder selected for TV.

Also, the audio decoder selected for movie is alway MPA doesn't matter which decoder I select for Movie player, DVD, or TV...

On my TV server, all the decoder selected comes out correctly.
