FFDSHOW works w/ TV but not Video (1 Viewer)

I can see the OSD when watching TV and the FFDSHOW icon is on in my system tray, but when I watch movies from my harddrive I don't see either the OSD or Icon in my tray. I have post processing on for tv, dvd, and video in the setup. any ideas?

this is interesting, most of the people have the converse problem:

Also please fill out your system specs in User CP. I even do not know which MP version you use...ffdshow, what codesc etc....
