FireDTV-compatible FireWire-chipset (1 Viewer)

I know the FireDTV-cards had some issues with some different firewire-chipset... NEC for example...
Another FW-chipset i tried to use, was the internal on my Audigy 2 ZS-soundcard, for some years ago, it didn´t work either..

Finally i found a good chipset that really worked, VIA!


Now i´m about to change my motherboard to another one with internal FW... The chipset on this board is TI (Texas Instruments), and i don´t know how it works with firedtv...


Anyone here that's using och has been using this chipset together with firedtv, that can confirm that it works or doesn't work?

Well, my FireDTV-C is connected to Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS (external) and running without any problems. Just make sure that you're using latest firmware and drivers and you should be fine

aha, it´s might better these days? I had the internal version

i use my floppyDTV with an TI (onboad) chipset and it works well
