    Hi Guys

i have a firedtv dvb-s card.. an i cannot get it to lock or find any signal in TVE3

has anyone got any settings they are using succesfully over here (im in perth if it matters)

i dont know anyone that can confirm if my dish etc work either (which helps mightily!) but the dish and lnb worked for the previous house owner on his foxtel box..

    Thanks in advance

    Steve,
you need to prove your setup before the MP is working right.
If you have another program which comes with the card, try to use. In the case you tried it and it didn't work, I'd suggest you to get a cheap satellite box (you can get them easily, just shop around) to confirm your LNB working and dish is aligned correctly.
In majority of cases I've seen so far 50% of no signal situation is due to the LNB wrong settings entered and another 50% of cases caused by the dish misalignment.
You ca figure out the remainder to calculate other problems probability. :)

Steve, I have a floppy DTV/S-CI which is almost identical to the fireDTV expect that it's a card (connected via Firewire) rather than an external box. I am happily running it under TVE3. It took some mucking around but I found that if you stick 11300 in the LOF1 LOF2 LNBSW settings it works ok. I have attached a screenshot of my tvserver setup.

    Best Regards

I just have to add the LNB setting is not something you suppose to guess. You can read your LNB frequencies from the LNB itself.
As it was old Foxtel installation the LNB can be single, not universal and frquency might be 10600 or 10700.
Anyway, the best thing you can do for yourself is to check the actual LNB spec you are dealing with.
