[I have a Digital Everywhere Floppy DTV C/CI Firewire DVB-C receiver with a Conax CA module and a card from Canal digital.
We are connected to a TV cable. The PC is a new Dell Studio PC with Vista.

This works fine in with Fire DTV viewer (and Windows Mediacenter). I get the also the HD channels nice. (I only have sound problem at a couple of the cartoon channels.)
With Media Portal TV-server I get nothing. In the TV-server my hardware is recognised as as a DVB-T and I get a list of the brodcasters. If I pick
the nearest one and do a channel search I get "no signal". I cannot put in frekvency symbolrate and modulation as expected.

The reason for this might be that the card supposed to be seen as a DVB-T from the Windows Media Center, because WMC does not support cable or satellite nativly.
I think the card is set make it work with WMC.

Is it something I can do to get it work as a DVB-C card? Or is it another reason why I can't get any signal?

Hi digimanne,

The answer is in your question. You've installed your FloppyDTV to work in MS Mediacenter. This make your floppyDTV act like a DVB-T device. You have to use the other drivers to set it up like a normal DVB-C FloppyDTV.
