Hi there, lets me explain the issue :

    MP 1.1.0, win XP, core2duo 7200
2 pinnacle PCTV Hybrid pro dual (3010ix) cards
    obviously dvbfix patch applied.

from my beginning with MePo i had one of these cards, no problem at all, both tuners were ok. When going to mp1.1 i added a second card (then 4 tuners)

    What happens :

After some time (about 1 hour), not depending of how many tuners are in use, i get "squares", then it goes bad an bad and video freeze... it lasts maybe 2-3 second not more ! I just have to stop all tuners use (stop live tv, stop all recordings) then i can go again with no problems (but for +/- one hour !)

Be aware that the issue is not only when watching tv, it comes when a tuner is used for too long. Then i tried to only schedule some recordings, not watching live tv. When watching at these recordings the next day no problem at the beginning (about 1hour) and then they go wrong (i tried with other players)
Then, for hours, i tried each card on each PCIe port and all is OK as long as there is only one card. Once i forgot to delete tuners under tv serveur config (then 4 of them were under tv servers but i only had on card in the machine), and then i get my issue... it seems MePo does have problem with 4 tuners or so

I installed my two cards inside the machine, but disabled one under tvserver config -> keeps crashing...

I disable epg grab on each tuner, and then i do not know what to do after that... not even the beginning of an idea...

Could it be a winxp limitation (4 tuners is too much or so ?)

    thanks for any help !

Logs would help. But sounds like it could be a heating issue.

    Hi,

    tx for your reply
Ok, i'll give logs next time i'll install the 2nd card, but logs could be huge as this occurs after more than one hour !
Do you need MP to be in normal or debuging logs mode ?

Sure this is not a heating problem as i tried with a 120 fan at its max speed directly over cards !
It seems to be a software crash as i only have to stop then start again tv, it will be ok for another hour, that wouldn't do that if it was a heating problem... that is with this problem is really weird !

I'm still thinking about log, sorry i did not had any time to test.

This week-end i'll test under win7 to see if it is better and then come back

    tx

    EDIT :

It seems that win7 is solving this problem ! I was able to have tv work for 5h30... i'll try all the night to see if it is ok
Then this seems to be a xp issue (drivers, too much tuners, or so)

If someone can change my title and put [solved] at the beginninb that would be great
