    Here the error.log file

Don't know exactly what's going on there (because the log only includes the error, and not the things that have happend prior to the error, full logs can be created as described here), but it seems related to directx as I found here.

The log says that the VMR9 class is not registered...
Can you play anything at all in MediaPortal? Have you tried setting EVR in MePo config?

Your logfiles didn't contains the MediaPortal.log and you didn't fill out your system specs in the forum userpanel, so I have no idea about your system configuration.

In MediaPortal Configuration (Codecs->VideoRendere) you can switch between VMR and EVR.

The error says that some component is not correctly registered on your system (quartz.dll)

oops, sorry for that, i thought, the signature says enough... i did fill out the sysspec now.
I cannot try to change to EVR right now, as we are currently watching a movie, but i'll try that later(tomorrow).
As quartz.dll is part of DirectX, would it helpt to reinstall it? -> I will also try that.

Thank you for your help, i do really appreciate it!

    Cheers,
    Tom

with EVR it works, but as it seems it takes a lot of power... so, how can i fix VMR9...?!

    Cheers,
    Tom
