Flickering Screen when TV playing with 1.0.2 (1 Viewer)

Hi guys,
I have a problem with MP "flickering" when in the menu's when TV is playing.

It only happens when TV is playing, however TV does not need to be displayed. It happens in all menu's that i can tell including Guide, Video, Main menu, TV menu etc

It did not occur in 1.0.1 or 1.0.0. I did a clean install after the 1.0.1 upgrade to 1.0.2 was buggy.
I have no plugins or skins or anthing loaded apart from what comes 'in the box'.

Any help appreciated.

Hi,

I have the same problem.
Clean install of MediaPortal 1.0.2 onto Windows 7 RC 32bits.
The image is flickering while in the menus and TV is running in background. No problem with flicker when playing ordinary movies in background. Codec settings are same for both TV and video.

Any suggestions?

This is a common problem when running Vista and EVR under MP Config.

Open MP Config in advanced mode and open the DirectShow Filters options. Switch to VMR9. This will fix it but mean you cannot use hardware accel.

But my setup worked flicker free for months with 1.0.1 and 1.0.0 without a sign of this issue.

The flickering only appeared when i upgraded to 1.0.2

I also notice that it happens when the recording popups appear while watching TV.
