OK, hope I post this in the right forum part. I'm new to using a tv-card in MP since a few days and are having a few issues.

My problem is that the tv-server is losing it's connection with the CI/CAM. Sometimes when I reboot the computer and enter tvsetup I'm able to access the CI menu and click around in the PPV, stutus, provider etc. If I go to the channels tab and preview some of them immediately they do work and changing between random channels, scrambled and FTA, works fine for about 20-30 seconds. Then all the scrambled channels become unavailable.

If I then return to the CI menu, I can't reach the menu at all. I've tried to change the CA-module for a differnt one but the behaviour is the same. One temporary solution I found is to have the Commoninterface.exe from floppydtv running in the background. Now all scrambled channels work fine and I can reach the CI menu from within tv-server config.

Problem is the CI.exe decides to pop-up once in a while, not often but still annoying. If I put MP to be "always on top" the pop-up thing is gone so far, but that messes up other things with my setup.

I've tried the beta driver from DE but no difference and the only TV-server version I've tried so far is the 1.1beta.

I'm not sure how to debug this issue but will post logs if someone guides me in the right direction.

I have the same problem as you mr viggo. I cant understand why the commoninterface.exe have to be running in order to get the scrambled channels to work. As you say, the CI application pops up now and then, stealing focus from MP which is extreamly disturbing.

This seems to be a common problem among floppyDTV users, so is there someone who have come up with a solotion for this?

Same here, using 2 dvb-s2 floppy cards. Why do i need these messages? It was ok before.

What do you mean by "it was OK before"? Other TV-server version, TvEngine?

I'm about to try other tv viewing apps tomorrow, if I remember right, DTVviewer had no issue with CAM connection but will look into this even more tomorrow.

With the previous version ALPHA. No problem with viewing but sometimes these lousy messages.

I gave up. Tried to install XP for two days and finally made it :) (hard to get those AHCI drivers in without a floppy)

The issue is still there but I haven't seen the CI pop up once for the whole evening. So I don't mind having it in the background. Otherwise I must say that TV part of MP works a hundred times better on XP than Vista.

    I've no idea, sorry.

I did try to change things in "control panel > networks"? by enable/disable the 1934 adapter. What I found was that I need it enabled and without XP's firewall to get a proper connection with the CAM.

Still need the CI.exe though :(

Edit: Selling the card and sticking to my cable box.
